How Do You Go About Finding a Pet Broker?

May 5, 2009

I have plenty of room around my new home in the country to raise dogs. I need to find a pet broker to tell me what kinds of dogs people want and be able to depend on the broker to buy them when they are ready. I live in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area.

This sounds more like a puppy mill. Shame Shame Shame.

Reputable breeders don't need 'pet brokers'. They sell to pre-approved homes and only breed to improve the line of the breed. Everyone else is unethical, disreputable, immoral, and irresponsible. With 3-6 million animals going into shelters each year and only half coming out alive, why not do somthing good with your land rather than contribute to that?? Run a foster home for dogs who need homes rather than contribute to euthanasia and poor genetics. You could then get a tax write off for it.

I've linked to the AKC website on what makes a reputable breeder – and I don't see a puppy broker involved in their recommendations.
